INREV Member Relationship Manager
IQ magazine recently caught up with Claudia Kapp, INREV’s new Member Relationship Manager.
Although she has only recently taken on this role, Claudia will already be known to many members from her time as an INREV Research Manager and Public Affairs researcher between 2011 and 2018, and from her recent work interviewing members for the INREV Vision Project. The project canvassed members about their changing needs to ensure the organisation remains relevant now and over the next 15 years.
INREV’s strength is based on the involvement of the members, so a key goal for me is to foster the strong sense of community that has already taken us so far.
‘My previous experience in the organisation has given me a good grounding for my new role,’ says Claudia. ‘The Vision Project in particular has exposed me to the views of a broad range of the membership and has helped me gain a better understanding of how they use our services, what their needs are and where they’d like INREV to go in the future. It has also meant that I’ve started to get to know members individually, which is very much the focus of my current position.

‘The Vision Project has also reinforced how important it is for me to understand the ways in which the industry is changing. One reason is so that I can identify those firms that could potentially become new INREV members and explain to them how they could benefit from joining us. Another is that it has made me more aware of the trends and changes that are affecting existing member organisations, particularly mergers and hybrid investors. It’s part of my role to work with the named INREV representatives to make sure they can pass on all the advantages INREV offers across all areas of their business. It’s also critical that our members’ voices can continue to be heard and have an influence on our future direction.’
