The latest INREV Market Insights reveal strong performance in Q2 2021

Pan-European non-listed real estate returns reached 3.01% on an asset level and 2.57% on a fund level, more than double their respective Q1 2021 performance 

Key highlights:

  • A broad-based improvement in performance across Europe, with all major geographies reporting total returns in excess of 2.0% 
  • The Pan-European industrial/logistics sector posted its strongest asset level return since Q4 2014, bringing the 12-month rolling total return to 21% 
  • Rent received for retail caught up with the mainstream sectors, reaching close to 90% of the rent expected.
  • The application of material uncertainty clauses declined further to 15% on a sample of 170 funds.

Returns soar for European non-listed real estate in Q2

15 September 2021, Amsterdam – Results from the latest pan-European INREV Quarterly Asset Level Index reveal the strong performance of European non-listed real estate. Total returns hit 3.01% in Q2 2021, driven largely by capital growth of 2.10% (up from 0.42% the previous quarter) and marking the fourth consecutive quarter of positive performance, and the best quarterly result in three and a half years.
