German vehicles’ performance improved to 0.49% in Q2

The Q2 2024 performance of the INREV German Vehicles Index improved to 0.49%, up from 0.13% in Q1 2024. Capital growth improved by 29 bps to -0.09% in Q2 2024.

This release includes 205 funds with a combined GAV of €190.1 billion as of the end of Q2 2024.

Key highlights:

  • Publikumsfonds continued to outperform Spezialfonds for the seventh consecutive quarter, with 0.89% and -0.01%, respectively.
  • All the geographical strategies delivered a positive performance in Q2 2024. At 0.62%, global strategies outperformed.
  • At 0.23%, the performance of vehicles with a German focus turned positive again in Q2 2024, marking Q1 2024 as the only period of negative performance since Q2 2009.
  • All single-sector specialist funds delivered positive Q2 returns, except for the retail segment. Despite that, multi-sector strategies outperformed with 0.65% in Q2 2024.
