The European ODCE Index grows for the fifth consecutive quarter to €39.1 billion

The Gross Asset Value (GAV) of the 14 ODCE participating funds exceeded €39 billion at the end of Q3 2021, reporting a year-on-year increase of 16.6% 

Key highlights:

  • The European ODCE Index delivered a positive total return of 1.98% in Q3 2021, albeit down from 2.29% delivered in Q2 2021. Capital growth and distributed income return eased, the latter due to the different income distribution frequencies of the ODCE contributing funds
  • On the four quarters rolling basis, the European ODCE Index saw a strong performance of 6.47%, with capital growth of 3.70% and distributed income return of 2.69%. 
  • The latest results showed a median total return of 2.20%, up from 1.96% in Q2 2021, and a wider dispersion of returns.

The Index is wholly comprised of open end core commingled equity real estate funds that have a strategy to invest across pan Europe and across multiple sectors. Funds must comply with a strict eligibility criteria for four consecutive quarters in a row to be included in the index.
