The Performance Measurement Analysis course kicked off the year with an engaging and interactive online learning experience from 30 January to 6 February, featuring three live Zoom sessions.

Participants appreciated the structured approach, calculation examples, and high-quality speakers, as well as the interactive elements, including polling questions, Q&As, and group discussions.

Attendees also completed two eLearning modules beforehand to ensure a solid foundation: Introduction to Performance Measurement and the INREV Performance Measurement Guidelines.

Here are some highlights from the course:

  • Ray Adderley (Nuveen) moderated the course, adding valuable insights from his own experience.
  • Julia Ashford (Europa) started with the fundamentals of real estate performance measurement, setting the stage for the following sessions.
  • Beata Jarmolkowicz (UBS Asset Management) made learning fun with a quiz on the INREV Performance Measurement Guidelines.
  • Tilman Hickl (H2i Assetmanagement) and Christine Fritz (PGIM Real Estate) explored performance measurement from both investor and manager perspectives.
  • Maarten van der Spek (Spek Advisory) wrapped up with a session on peer comparisons and how to use INREV’s tools effectively.

The course ended with a team assignment, where participants worked in small groups, guided by course experts, to answer 25 multiple-choice questions on the content covered.
