Under the name "Mall of Life" and with a unique mix of contemporary shopping and health offerings, the Rheinpark Centre in Neuss will be given a completely new look over the next 24 months. As part of an extensive transformation project, around a quarter of the centre's retail space will be redesigned and transformed into a modern centre for health and wellbeing. The aim of the project is to create synergies between the different types of use and thus further strengthen the shopping offer in the Rheinpark Centre by providing additional reasons to visit. Union Investment, the owner of the shopping centre, which opened in 2010, received planning permission for the conversion in summer 2024 and has already started the initial construction work.
The focus is on the conversion of the approximately 11,500 square metres of retail space on the first floor into space for doctors' surgeries in various specialisms as well as accompanying health-related services. With the start of construction, rental agreements have already been signed with five tenants for around half of the available rental space. Promising talks are underway for the remaining space.
