Schroders Capital’s real estate team has made Hideki Kurata head of France. Hideki, who has been with Greystar since 2018, will start in his new role on 1 March 2023, and will also be part of Schroders Capital’s global real estate management team.
He will also assume the newly-created role of Head of Living to source new strategic capital and investment opportunities in the residential property space.
In particular, he will target ‘operationally intense’ residential strategies encompassing senior, student and co-living, as well as healthcare, adding to Schroders Capital’s market position in the hospitality sector.
Before joining Greystar, he led the Alternatives and Special Situations team at AXA IM Real Assets, where he contributed to growing the firm’s exposure to healthcare, hotels, data centres and student housing across Europe. He has also worked at GE Capital, JP Morgan and BNP Paribas.
