Heather’s expertise across real estate and infrastructure investing to qualify NREP’s ambition to solve urban problems at area and zip code level
Leading Nordic real estate investor NREP announces the appointment of Heather Mulahasani to the business as Partner. Heather will play a pivotal role as NREP further explores challenges across the urban ecosystem.
Heather has held various senior roles at Goldman Sachs over a twenty-year period, most recently as one of two Partners leading its European Infrastructure team responsible for investing a USD2.5 billion infrastructure equity fund. Prior to this, Heather acted as Managing Director and then Partner within Goldman Sachs’ real estate team, driving its growth into evolving geographies including the Nordics, Germany, UK, France, Spain.
Heather’s appointment as Partner increases the NREP partnership to 17 and follows the recent Partner promotion of two longstanding NREP members, Didde Maria Kristensen and Alfred Eklöf. The appointments mark a pivotal period of expansion for the business, which has added 200+ new members to its 500-strong team across eight countries over the past year. Heather will be based in NREP’s growing London office.
NREP is the largest real estate investment manager in the Nordics with approximately EUR14 billion of assets under management. It has long pioneered sustainability in real estate, which plays a central role in its value creation strategy and has committed to being carbon neutral by 2028 without offsets. Spearheading initiatives to date include the use of CO2 neutral geothermal heating, projects such as the world’s first 100 per cent upcycled concrete building and ‘UN17 Village’, the first large-scale project to align with all of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
