Alternative investment manager AXA IM Alts has commenced construction work on a 30,000 square metres urban residential regeneration project in Northwest Milan, Italy.
The Syre residential complex, located on Via dei Rospigliosi, will span eight floors and comprise 142 social residential apartments, along with 124 apartments for market rental.
In line with its commitment to sustainable development, AXA IM Alts will equip the apartments with renewable energy sources and provide electric vehicle charging stations for residents. Additionally, a 10,000 square metres park will be created with walkways, outdoor gathering areas, and exercise facilities.
To further enhance local biodiversity, over 100 new trees will be planted, and three existing plane trees will be preserved, resulting in an estimated 10 tonnes of carbon savings annually. AXA IM Alts is pursuing EPC Class A energy certification for the entire complex.
Designed by Studio Marco Piva, the project forms part of the broader regeneration of the Via dei Rospigliosi area.
Situated within the vibrant San Siro neighborhood, renowned for its parks and sporting facilities, the project enjoys convenient proximity to the San Siro football stadium, the home of AC Milan and FC Internazionale, and the San Siro Ippodromo metro station, providing residents with direct access to the city center within a short ten-minute commute.
This marks AXA IM Alts' first residential project in Italy, with Redbrick serving as the development manager.
