Amvest Living & Care Fund has agreed to purchase a portfolio of 22 residential care complexes with around 480 new care homes in the Netherlands for €85 million.
The sellers are Dagelijks Leven Vastgoed and Oren Holding, both subsidiaries of the international healthcare provider Orpea Group. The care complexes, which will meet the BENG requirements (nearly energy neutral building), will be completed in 2023, 2024, and the first half of 2025. The first two, the Torenforthuis in Culemborg and the Blankvoorthuis in Hardenberg, were completed on August 2, while the other 20 locations are under construction or are yet to be built.
Dagelijks Leven, a Dutch care provider for elderly people with dementia, is the tenant and care operator of the affordable care complexes. It does this in a small-scale setting with a maximum of 22 residents per location. The Amvest Living & Care Fund currently has 85 care complexes in its portfolio, of which 53 are leased to Dagelijks Leven, while an additional 22 will be added as a result of the deal.
