The 2020 winners of the Nick Tyrrell Research prize present their winning paper, ‘Real Estate in Mixed-Asset Portfolios for Various Investment Horizons’. 

The webinar hosted by the IPF features a panel of industry experts, Peter Epping, Hines and Thushka Maharaj, JP Morgan together with the joint prize winners, Jean-Christophe Delfim and Prof. Martin Hoesli, both of the Geneva School of Economics and Management, as they present the winning paper. 

On 2 February 2021, INREV filed a response to the European Commission’s consultation on Sustainable Corporate Governance. The response developed by the INREV ESG Committee substantially supports the possible initiative on sustainable corporate governance and encourages the real estate industry to consider the environmental, social, human and economic impact in their business decisions.

AREIM's Sustainability Report is an example of how ESG strategy has been implemented within the organisation. The report serves as an example of how to build a strategy and identify the objectives through a stakeholder engagement process and materiality assessment. 

In July 2020, COIMA SGR received equity commitments of €400 million for the first close of the COIMA ESG City Impact Fund, the first urban regeneration ESG fund to be launched in Italy. With an open collaborative structure including co investments, partnership and financial leverage, the fund is targeting further equity raises up to €1 billion, to create a total investment capacity of over €4 billion.

In November 2019, Patron Capital announced its intention to establish the Women in Safe Homes (WISH) Fund, believed to be the world’s first gender-lens property fund, alongside Resonance and Big Society Capital. The fund will be a solution to the lack of affordable, safe and secure homes for women who are experiencing homelessness, have been involved with the criminal justice system, are survivors of domestic abuse or have other complex needs.

The community remain steadfast that INREV membership has a lot to offer. In 2020 they valued the insights and practical guidance we shared in light of COVID-19 and appreciated the increased access to a wide variety of online happenings. These results feed into the INREV Business Plan 2021 - 2023.
