Maurits Cammeraat
Director of Professional Standards
The next phase of the INREV Guidelines also sees the introduction of a new face to the INREV team with Maurits Cammeraat joining the office in Amsterdam as Director of Professional Standards.
Maurits starts this month, taking over the role from Lonneke Löwik, who finalised the revision of the INREV Guidelines. Maurits will focus on the implementation and ongoing improvements. “The next step will be ensuring the industry can efficiently adopt the standards as well refinements,” he explains.
His background means he is well-placed to take on the task. He joins the team from PwC where he was a Senior Manager Performance Improvement, focusing on helping companies deliver better performance in the real estate industry. “This covered areas such as maximising the value from mergers and acquisitions, better decision making with information management or speeding up the reporting processes”.
Maurits also has experience in the development of industry standards. He was involved in the establishment of the OSCRE standards, which supports consistency in property management reporting.
“I’m looking forward to the range of topics that I’ll be dealing with. I enjoy issues around corporate governance and reporting, for example, and this is all combined in this role, so I hope to contribute to develop these standards even further,” he said.
