INREV Senior Events Manager
Hedda Hollander, Senior Events Manager, oversees the Association’s events and with almost seven years under her belt, she is one of INREV’s longest serving and best known employees. “The events really helped build up a community around INREV’s activities and that still continues to be important for our membership.”
Hedda has also been integral in the development of specialist events which reach member groups such as CFOs and the Young Professionals.“The Young Professionals is particularly good fun as it brings new faces to the industry networking scene. Also, the support of regular members to be speakers for this event demonstrates their commitment to the next generation.”
The events really helped build up a community around INREV’s activities and that still continues to be important for our membership.
Of course the pinnacle of the calendar each year is the INREV Annual Conference, which Hedda has developed to be an oversubscribed and stand-out event each year. However, in 2010 the events team had their low point when the conference was cancelled due to the volcanic ash coming from Iceland.
“It was hard to believe looking at clear blue skies in Amsterdam that the first Venice conference was going to be derailed by something in the atmosphere. However, after an evening out to commiserate, we were back at our desks to organise a summer of events to compensate and start planning Venice 2011,” said Hedda.
