Estimated scope 2 emissions - location based (tonne CO2e/yr) - Vehicle Level

Topic: Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) | Field Level: Vehicle | Label: ghg_emissions_estimated_scope_2_emissions_location_based | Indicator ID: ESG3.3.7

Industry Mapping: GRESB Real Estate Standard and Reference Guide (2025), EPRA sBPR Guidelines 2024, CRREM V2 (2024), GRI Standards 2021, CSRD, RICS ESG Data List for Real Estate Valuations (2024)

In the absence of actual data, location-based Scope 2 emissions can be estimated based on building characteristics and publicly available data using commercial databases - see PCAF, and/or linear extrapolation could be applied - see CRREM (ref: GRESB). In case estimation is used, please specify in the comment box how the calculations were done, and which critical assumptions were made. Location-based method quantifies scope 2 emissions based on average energy generation emission factors for defined locations, including local, subnational, or national boundaries (ref: GHG Protocol, “Scope 2 Guidance”, Glossary, 2015).

Estimate location-based Scope 2 emissions from purchased electricity, district heating, district cooling, or steam. For the treatment of estimated underlying energy data, see ESG3.3.6 and the relevant ESG3.1 energy-estimation guidance.

Note 1: For emission-factor selection and disclosure, see ESG3.3. For district heating/cooling and steam, see ESG3.3.2.

Note 2: Clearly document the estimation method, data sources, and assumptions to ensure transparency and comparability over time.
