A New Dimension for INREV Training

Practical value with academic rigour

INREV’s training courses have a strong reputation for expert teaching and relevance to members’ day-to-day work. Now you can combine a selection of these courses to receive the INREV/ Henley Certificate in Non- Listed Real Estate Investments.

This qualification should prove to be widely recognised and sought after by both employees as well as employers in the non-listed investment industry. It will appeal to anyone wishing to advance their careers in the business, whether recently qualified to degree level or with longer-term industry experience.

The INREV/Henley Certificate in Non-Listed Real Estate Investments will be a sought-after qualification for anyone wishing to pursue a career in this business.
Matthias Thomas (CEO, INREV)

Most members will already be familiar with INREV’s one and two-day training courses on practical non-listed-related themes, ranging from portfolio construction to due diligence, from investor relations to financial analysis. These courses, held on a rotating schedule in major cities like Amsterdam, Milan, Munich, London, Luxembourg and Stockholm, are taught by senior industry experts who share the benefit of their practical experience and provide a theoretical foundation for their subject area.

INREV’s tutors are chosen because of their expertise and industry experience and come from many different backgrounds across Europe.

INREV’s courses are designed for professionals and delivered by professionals. Bringing many of our most popular courses together in an integrated structure with academic accreditation will make them even more highly valued. This is a big step forward for the industry, and is the kind of initiative that INREV should be facilitating.
James Raynor (Chair of INREV Training Committee)

The Certificate will have the additional rigour of an academic assessment by Henley Business School (University of Reading), based on the student’s chosen topic, with the assessment demonstrating the student’s knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.

The courses are highly interactive and include workshops and case studies, while the teaching groups are small, with no more than 25 participants. According to INREV’s 2016 Member Survey, 97% of members who attended a training course would recommend it to a colleague.

ABOUT THE CERTIFICATE

The INREV/Henley Certificate is available in two distinct modules, one focusing on portfolio construction and the other on corporate finance. This means that students can specialise in the subjects that are most relevant to their chosen career path or branch of the industry. It also allows those who want to broaden their knowledge beyond their current area of expertise to do so, opening up new perspectives on the industry.

I’m very pleased that Henley Business School will be working with INREV to provide academic assessment for the new Certificate, which looks set to make an important contribution to real estate education in the years to come.
Professor Gianluca Marcato (Henley Business School)

Within the five courses to be covered for the Certificate there is also considerable flexibility, as only three are mandatory, with the other two a matter of choice.
